National Electronic Ticket System Platform
In its strategic programmes, the Hungarian Government has set the goal of renewing public transport and introducing electronic fare payment systems that can be used with "the same electronis certificate".
The Platform includes the accounting and basic data subsystems required for the operation of the ticketing systems, the national traffic card system, the mobile applications related to the ticketing system, the modules for the interoperability of interoperable charging products and the central revenue registration data transmission modules. NEJP also includes the security and application management required for the communication of the implementation of a unified and interoperable national ticketing system.
The implementation of NEJP is one of the basic conditions for the medium and long term sustainable public transport in Hungary.
The establishment of this system is necessary in order for all public transport services in Hungary to be available to users through one platform, and so that these public services can be sold to their customers by different mobile and electronic payment operators in any field under uniform conditions.
